While making this wreath I couldn't help but think of the poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas" by Clement Clarke Moore and the excerpt "The children were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads."
A lot of time and detail went into this creation. Each piece of faux fruit is hand "sugared" by me with glass microbeads. You will find strawberries, cherries, limes, and pears. The only greenery used in the piece is the stems attached to the strawberries. This Christmas wreath packs a huge visual punch with details and is sure to delight. By adding creative lighting the entire wreath shimmers and sparkles!
The base for this wreath is special order styrofoam, reinforced with lightweight metal. It is wider than normal forms and wrapped in green ribbon. The circular wreath measures approximately 27 inches in diameter and is safe for indoor or outdoor display.4 1/2 inches in diameter. The sides are approximately 7 to 8 inches wide and the wreath is appropriately 6 inches deep.
