I love Easter! It is a fun such a fun holiday and heralds the coming of spring. I have such fond memories of childhood Easter celebrations... Easter eggs hunts, dying eggs, Easter baskets filled with candy and sugary peeps. I wanted to capture those memories, morph them into a decorative piece which would bring backs those childhood memories everytime I saw it. With this beautiful and fun Easter Wreath I did just that.
Faux lime green grass covers a 12 inch styrofoam wreath base and is reminiscent of the grass found in Easter baskets across the US. Tiny chenille baby chicks in yellow and pink are nestled amid the grass and make me think of all those sugary peeps children love to eat. Throughout the wreath tiny glittered eggs are arranged to poke through the grass just like Easter eggs hidden for children to find during egg hunts. A beautiful orange bow with splashes of purple, green, yellow, and pink is the cherry on my Easter cake. E-G-G-strodinary fun!
